Since we always have little repairs to make
to the out-buildings and barns we're always
on the lookout for 'aged' wood of varying
dimensions. Give us a call if you have
any you'd like to have us take off your hands!

"Save a farm - visit a Farm"
As the harvest season gets underway,
Mr. Nunnery will offer an in depth and
provocative look at RI's farms and the
many things they have to offer today
and for the future.
Nunnery will have on hand inform-
ation and materials about launch of
Rhode Island Farm Ways - a farm
destination marketing campaign design-
ed to showcase farms and expand agri-
tourism activities and "alternative enter-
prises" that are conducted on our farms
and other sites provide not only adven-
tures and learning opportunities for the
public, but also a significant portion of
farm income for our farmers."
Mr. Stu Nunnery is the Director of
Rhode Island Center for Agricultural
Promotion and Education(RICAPE).
A writer, speaker, trainer and consultant,
he brings an eclectic history of achieve-
ment and acclaim in leadership on issues
of food farming systems education, com-
munity and partnership development and
public health - with a special interest on
how information in communicated to the
public.

This poster shows just some of
the remarkable tools that we're
working on getting photographed
for the online 'Collection Gallery'.
These tools, richly worn from past
use, comprise only a fraction of the
Tim Bornstein Collection.
They're available at Coggeshall Farm
Museum for $19.95 or if you're not in
the area they'll soon be available online!

See you there!
A BIG(really big) thanks goes to all
those that helped 'muck out' the
sheep shed last Saturday (the 5th).
What was thought would take a couple
of weeks amazingly got done
in ONE day!!
Thank you to:
Our extraordinary lead volunteer -
who worked the entire day - Luis
(without whom we'd be lost).
...and other hard working
members of our volunteer 'dream-
team' (in order of appearance);
Early Morning Folks:
Mary + David,
and Monica,
Noon til' the bitter end:
Chelsey, Dwain + Marley,
and one of our newest volunteers,
Jennifer (who -through much ex-
perience gained working at a pig
sanctuary in Arizona- is a Pig Whisp-
erer extraordinaire)
It can't be stated enough how invalue-
able our volunteers are!!
And though there will be a separate
occasion to thank all those that are
currently taking time out of their
busy schedules to take turns with
the animal feedings etc. We would
also like to thank you (all) for the
wonderful show of support.
THANKS ONCE AGAIN!

We're planning on having at least quarterly
e-newsletters starting in late August (in time
to remind folks of the Harvest Fair).
We WILL ALWAYS RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY and
your email address will never be passed on to
any third party for any reason. So for those of
you who like to conserve paper it's an ideal way to
keep abreast of upcoming activities and events.
Hi Everyone,
Current Hours for the farm are:
Tuesday through Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm
At which time only self-guided tours are avail-
able unless scheduled in advance until the
first week of September when someone will
again be on site full time.
We decided to close the farm on Mondays so
we can do non-historic repair/maintenance-
i.e. tractor ' cutting', weed whacking and the like.
This is also being designated as a day when those
volunteers that love to help out at the farm but
don't get all 'warm and fuzzy' over dressing in full
18th century garb can come on by throw on a yel-
low 'Coggeshall Farm' tee-shirt and get dirty!
(tee shirts are complimentary).
So all of you out there with that special skill,
that unsung talent that you know you have-
you excellent weed whackers, stump pullers
and barn muckers- come and join us...
THIS MONDAY'S for YOU !
( well, and of course, the Farm too ;0 )
Lauren
Approaching around the bend is the annual Harvest Fair
which takes place the 3rd weekend in September.
We'll be posting more info by the last week in August,
or so, as to which reenactors, craftspeople, musicians
and story-tellers (vendors and more!)will be sharing
their talents with us.
Don't forget to check back as the date draws near !!
